John Stratakis is the managing partner of Poles, Tublin, Stratakis & Gonzalez, LLP. He specializes in commercial transactions, real estate transactions and financing, maritime transactions and financing, trusts and estates. Prior to joining Poles Tublin, he served as a law clerk to the Hon. Nicholas Tsoucalas at the U.S. Court of International Trade.

Mr. Stratakis earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in1986 from Trinity College, and a J.D. from the American University Washington College of Law in 1989. He is a member of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York and the Maritime Law Association of the United States, and is a director of New York Maritime, Inc. His civic activities include serving as President of the Hellenic American Chamber of Commerce and a term as President of the Board of Trustees at the Greek Orthodox Archdiocesan Cathedral of the Holy Trinity. He was admitted to the New York Bar in 1990 and to the U.S. District Court’s Southern and Eastern Districts of New York in 1994. In addition to English, he speaks, reads and writes in Greek.
